Gaudí
Architect of the Imaginary | On display from 10 March 2023
Direction & Design: Cutback, Production: Culturespaces Digital®This exhibition highlights the beautiful works of Antonio Gaudí. Gaudí was a great source of inspiration for Dalí. Gaudí's works from the early twentieth century, which were often described as whimsical and provocative, were therefore also strongly defended by Dalí. Dalí published the article 'Of the Terrifying and Comestible Beauty of Modern Style Architecture' in 1933. This article sparked new interest in Art Nouveau.
This spectacular exhibition pays tribute to Gaudí and brings to life his modernist buildings, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Go on a digital journey through Parc Güel, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà and the Sagrada Família. The interplay of light and materials transforms the hall of Fabrique des Lumières into most of Gaudí's famous works. Discover large pillars, organic motifs and the beautiful colors of glass and ceramics. An imaginary city is built to the sounds of Geroge Gershwin's music and you step into a world of boundless creativity.
