About us

Call it a modern take on the museum, or an immersive, titillating, audiovisual experience. Whatever you call it, Fabrique des Lumières is an experience about art. It’s created to excite, to incite, and to overwhelm. It’s one of a kind, but available to all.

Fabrique des Lumières brings art to life: the works of the biggest artists in history, dished up in an ode of digital image and sound. Allowing state-of-the-art technology to breath and flourish in the large open spaces of Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek.

In 2018, Atelier des Lumières was introduced in Paris, envisioned and created by Culturespaces. Within a few short years, more than three million people laid eyes on the works of Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt and Salvador Dalí in this museum. But it’s not just about seeing. The leap in digital technology makes it possible to present art in a more engaging way, recruiting and delighting all senses, all at once.

In April of 2022, we opened our doors here in the Westerpark in Amsterdam. It’s not just a space for expositions on classical and modern artists, it’s also for more contemporary creations. Whatever you’re viewing though, it will be presented like nothing else before it. So whether you’re a lifelong aesthete, or rarely visiting museums, Fabrique des Lumières is decidedly different, fundamentally new, and a stunning experience.
