Educational Program

Choose the activity that best suits your class, and get your students ready for an engaging and educational experience. Each activity takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes to complete.

Open and present the PowerPoint. It provides structure for the activity and guides students through the key concepts related to digital art.
STEP 4:
Print an overview of the artworks featured in the exhibition, including background information and insights into what students will see and experience during their visit.

Music as Inspiration
Activity Length: 45 minutes
Target Age: All ages
Immersive art is not only about looking but also about connecting to art with your other senses. This activity we get to focus on music and the ears!
Design your own Fabrique des Lumières
Activity Length: 1 hour
Target Age: 8 - 12 years
Take Inspiration from our Immersive exhibitions at Fabrique de Lumières and design our floors and walls. With our floor template and build your own Pavilion.
FDL Kijkdoos Creator
Activity Length: Junior: 1 hour | Senior: 1 uur+
Target Age: Junior: 8 - 15 years | Senior: CKV / 15+
Students can get inspiration from the exhibitions at Fabrique des Lumières (FDL) and experiment with the idea of immersion. They will design the floors and walls themselves by making a peep box!
Colours and Emotions
Activity Length: 45 minutes
Target Age: 8 - 15 years
This art activity invites students to choose an image representing their life and compare it to an artwork from the Fabrique des Lumières exhibition while listening to its music playlist.
Designing an Immersive Installation
Activity Length: 45 minutes
Target Age: 13 - 15 years
Students collaborate in small groups to design an immersive art experience inspired by a painting or they will see in the exhibition. They integrate sensory elements such as light, sound, and interactive spaces to deepen viewer engagement and bring the artwork to life.
My Journey to FDL
Activity Length: 1 hour
Target Age: 5 - 8 years
This art activity is designed to help students reflect creatively on their journey from school to Fabriques des Lumières . By creating a five-part booklet, they will express their thoughts and feelings about their school, the exhibition building, and the artworks they’ll encounter.
